The Flavors of Home


http://catalog.sno-isle.org/polaris/search/title.aspx?ctx=1.1033.0.0.6&cn=658101There is nothing like your mother’s cooking to transport you back to your childhood – wherever http://catalog.sno-isle.org/polaris/search/title.aspx?ctx=1.1033.0.0.6&cn=692435and whenever that may have been.  I was fortunate enough to have been raised in two countries with two very different families, spending my early years equally connected to the cultures of the United States and México.  As a result, my repertoire of “home-style” recipes is rather eclectic.  That being said, every once in a while, I come across a cookbook that contains recipes that draw me back to the flavors of my childhood.  Here are a few cookbooks that taste like my childhood:

The Betty Crocker Boys & Girls Cookbook! I can still see the image of the chocolate chip cookie page clearly in my mind's eye! :-)
